RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Section 4.05, Subdivision 5 of the City of Rochester Home Rule Charter
states that the Common Council, at its annual meeting, shall establish an order of succession to
discharge the duties of the councilmember-at-large in the event of his absence or disability.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Rochester that the order of succession shall be determined by seniority and, if needed, by ward
number (the lower ward number will be controlling).
