• BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota, that the US Bank Rochester, Wells Fargo Bank Rochester, being
designated as a depository for the funds of this corporation, and any officer
or other person hereinafter named is hereby authorized for and on behalf of
the corporation to open or continue an account or accounts with said Banks and
to execute and deliver to said Banks signature card or cards supplied by said
Banks containing specimen signature of officers or other persons hereinafter
named and assenting to said Bank's Rules and Regulations Governing Bank
Accounts, and that any officer or other person hereinafter named is hereby
authorized for an on behalf of this corporation to endorse or cause to be
endorsed and to deposit or cause to be deposited in such account or accounts
from time to time checks, drafts, and other instruments and funds payable to
or held by this corporation, commencing with the First day of January, 2003,
and ending with the Thirty-first day of December, 2003.
While not depositories, the City maintains accounts with Merrill Lynch,
Pierce, Fenner and Smith, Inc. , RBC Dain-Rauscher Inc. , R.W. Baird, Inc. ,
Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Inc. , Wells Fargo Investment Services Inc. , US
Bank Piper Jaffray, Inc. and Legg Mason, for the purpose of investing in
direct U.S . Government obligations or Federal Agency issues, commercial paper,
bankers acceptance, and repurchase agreements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that The City Council does hereby designate that
all checks, drafts and other withdrawal orders against the City' s General
Account shall bear the facsimile signature of Ardell F. Brede, Mayor of the
City of Rochester, and Dale R. Martinson, Treasurer of the City of Rochester
and also designates that any and all other directions and instructions of any
character with respect to funds of this corporation now or hereafter with said
Banks may be signed by any one of the following:
Dale R. Martinson, Treasurer
Bruce W. Atkinson, Assistant Finance Director
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that The City Council does hereby authorize the
Treasurer of the City of Rochester, the authority to make investments of funds
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 118A. 01 through 118A. 06 or other applicable
law, commencing with the First day of January, 2003, and ending with the
Thirty-first day of December, 2003.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that The City Council does hereby designate that
all checks, drafts and other withdrawal orders against Rochester Public
Utilities account shall bear the facsimile signature of Ardell F. Brede, Mayor
of the City of Rochester, and Larry J. Koshire, General Manager of Rochester
Public Utilities and also designates that any and all other directions and
instructions of any character with respect to funds of Rochester Public
Utilites now or hereafter with said Banks may be signed by any one of the
following:
Larry J. Koshire, .General Manager
Curtis F. Kraft, Director of Administration
Douglas L. Noga, Finance and Accounting Manager
• Tina M. Livingston, General Accountant
BE' IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said Banks shall be entitled to rely upon a
certified copy of this resolution until written notice of modification or
rescission has been furnished to and received by said Banks.
Adopted by the Common Council this 6th day of January, 2003.
