HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 217-23 - Resolution - Text Amendment No. CD2023-002TA by Mayo Clinic RESOLUTION Approving Text Amendment No. CD2023-002TA, also known as the Mayo Clinic Five-Year Plan Update, to Recount a Summary of Previous Development, and Report Mayo’s Potential Building Plans Through the Next Five Years. WHEREAS, On March 18, 1991, the Common Council of the City of Rochester approved Ordinance No. 2726 - Medical Institutional Campus Special District; and, WHEREAS, the Mayo Foundation is required to provide a plan recounting a summary of previous development and outlining potential building plans through the next five years; and WHEREAS, the proposal is consistent with the City’s Downtown Master Plan, City of Rochester Destination Medical Center (DMC) Design Guidelines, and infrastructure plans/upgrades for the next five years; and, WHEREAS, the City of Rochester Planning Commission, after published notice, held a public hearing on September 27, 2023, to consider this application, and recommended approval of the Five-Year Plan Update; and WHEREAS, the City of Rochester Common Council, after published notice, held a public hearing on October 16, 2023, to consider this application. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the City accepts and approves Text Amendment No. CD2023-002TA, as encompassed in the document “2023 Five-Year Plan Update, Medical Institutional Campus Special District, Mayo Support Campus Special District, September 22, 2023,” including the Five-Year Construction Plan for the Mayo Foundation properties within the Medical Institution Campus Special District, consistent with the Mayo Medical Master Plan as adopted in accordance with Ordinance No. 2726 - Medical Institutional Campus Special District.
