RESOLUTION
Awarding Contract for Design/Architect Services for the North Broadway Park and
Ride - Project No. J2114.
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s):
Design/Architect Services for the North Broadway Park and Ride – Project No. 2114,
the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Bid
Neumann Monson, Inc. $1,268,635
Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc . $1,265,610
WHEREAS, it appears that Neumann Monson, Inc. is the best value, responsive and
responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota, that the bid of $1,268,635 is hereby accepted and execution of the American
Institute of Architects (AIA) contract for construction with Neumann Monson, Inc., is
authorized for the following approved local improvements: Design/Architect Services
for the North Broadway Park and Ride - Project No. J2114; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within ten days
after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time,
they shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
