HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 096-24 - Resolution - 2024 High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Program Grant Agreement RESOLUTION Authorizing a grant agreement with the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) for the High Intensity Drug-Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Program for Law Enforcement Equipment. WHEREAS, the Office of National Drug Control Policy's (ONDCP) High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program provides assistance to federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies; and WHEREAS, the City of Rochester was awarded a grant in the amount of $40,000 from HIDTA for investigative expenses that support the investigation and disruption of significant drug/violent crimes, with the condition that funding supplement and not supplant the department's budget; and WHEREAS, the grant agreement period is for two years and does not require a local match. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the grant is accepted and execution of the corresponding agreement is authorized.
