Create*Design*Build ClassCreate*Design*Build Class
Held at Kellogg Middle SchoolHeld at Kellogg Middle School
Kellogg Middle School students were invited to
participate in the after-school Create*Design*Build
class on Tuesdays from September 13 through
October 11. More than a dozen sixth through eighth
grade students chose to learn about City Parks and
Destination Medical Center. They designed, planned
and built buildings out of foam core board for the
riverfront area and Soldiers Field Park. One student
designed a K-12 school to be located along the west
riverfront. Other designs included an indoor
aquarium and a greenhouse. City of Rochester
Project Manager Jorrie Johnson led the class.
