That’s an increase of four (up from 14) WMBEs at this time last year. There are now 25* DBEs in zip codes starting with 559 (within 60 miles of Rochester). NUMBER OF LOCAL TARGETED BUSINESSES ALSO INCREASING There are currently 28 certified Targeted Group (TG), Economically Disadvantaged (ED) or Veteran-Owned (VO) small businesses located in Rochester. That’s an increase of five (up from 23) at this time last year. The ratio of woman-owned (11) to all TG/ED/VO certified companies in Rochester (28) is 39%. Four are Black woman-owned and one is Hispanic woman-owned for a total of five (18%) minority, woman-owned. In zip codes beginning with 559, within 60 miles of Rochester, there are now 40 certified TG/ED/VO certified small businesses, up from 35 a year ago.
