RESOLUTION
Approving Updates To The Rural Service District By Removing Two Parcels That No
Longer Meet The Required Criteria For The Property Taxes Payable 2025.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1466 of the City of Rochester requires an annual review of
the urban and rural service districts established within the City of Rochester; and
WHEREAS, undeveloped land annexed into the City since the last update to the list of
urban and rural service districts should now be appropriately considered for transfer into
the rural service district; and
WHEREAS, tracts of land which have been platted in the last year should be removed
from the rural service district and added to the urban service district; and
WHEREAS, tracts of land exist which are less than five acres and do not qualify for
inclusion in the rural service district; and
WHEREAS, tracts of land which are owned by the public or other tax exempt entities and
therefore should be removed from the rural service districts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
that the Council finds that the properties described on the attached exhibit includes
properties that do not qualify for inclusion in the Rural Service District, and should be
removed.
