WHEREAS, the City of Rochester (“City”) is preparing a grant application for the Active Transportation Infrastructure Program for Bike Infrastructure Along Center St East from Zumbro River Bridge to 11th Ave NE/SE - Project No. J7348; and WHEREAS, the City has reviewed and approved the Bike Infrastructure Along Center St East from Zumbro River Bridge to 11th Ave NE/SE - Project No. J7348 as proposed; and WHEREAS, sponsorship includes the willingness by the City to secure and guarantee the local share of the costs associated with this project and the responsibility for seeing this project through to its completion, with compliance of all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that the City as the sponsoring agency will make available sufficient funds to cover the estimated local share of costs plus any additional project costs if the project exceeds the estimated total cost of the project as reflected in the project application. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer is hereby authorized to act as an agent on behalf of the City as the sponsoring agency in the execution of documents, administration of funds, and any other necessary execution duties related to Bike Infrastructure Along Center St East from Zumbro River Bridge to 11th Ave NE/SE - Project No. J7348.
