HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 148-25 - Resolution - RPD and Mayo Clinic Enhanced Safety Program Addition Two Officers RESOLUTION Approving a Rochester Police Department & Mayo Clinic Enhanced Safety Program Professional Services Agreement; and Authorizing the addition of two (2) full-time sworn police officer positions to the Rochester Police Department budgeted sworn strength. WHEREAS, the City, acting through its police department, and Mayo Clinic would like to enter into a collaborative agreement entitled the Rochester Police Department & Mayo Clinic Enhanced Safety Program; WHEREAS, the agreement is intended to enhance the safety and security of the Rochester community and Mayo clinic staff and patients on Mayo Clinic’s Bold Campus which is located in Rochester’s downtown core; WHEREAS, the compensation the City receives from Mayo Clinic for the services will allow for the City to backfill for the two experienced police officers that will be assigned to work on the program; WHEREAS, the agreement has been reviewed by the parties and agreed upon, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the City approves entering into a Professional Services Agreement with Mayo Clinic entitled the Rochester Police Department & Mayo Clinic Enhanced Safety Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the City approves the addition of two (2) full-time FTE sworn police officer positions to the Rochester Police Department’s Budget to backfill for the officers assigned to the program. This approval is effective upon passage and signature of this resolution.
