119. WELL DRILLING
119.01. Permit Required. Any person desiring to drill a well within the limits of the city
for the purpose of water supply shall first apply to the council for a permit. Such application
shall set forth the location, depth, diameter and the anticipated water supply of the well and
the purpose for which the water supply is intended.
119.02. Abandonment of Wells. Any person desiring to abandon any well within the
limits of the city shall apply to the council setting forth the intention and the reasons for such
abandonment. If the council grants such a permit the well to be abandoned shall be
abandoned according to the requirements established by the Minnesota Department of
Health.
119.03. Procedure. All the applications for a permit either to drill a well or to abandon
a well shall be referred by the council to the Minnesota Department of Health and to the Public
Utility Board for their recommendations.
119.04. Permit Fee. The fee for any permit required by this chapter is $10.00.
