RESOLUTION
Year 2025 Public Transit Participation Grant Program
Approving Capital Funding from the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT)
Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Match Program.
WHEREAS, The City of Rochester operates a public transportation service known as
Rochester Public Transit.
WHEREAS, MnDOT has approved City of Rochester’s plan to construct a public transit
park and ride facility located at 1819 North Broadway Ave, Rochester, MN 55906 in
Olmsted County.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the City of
Rochester agrees to enter into a contract with MnDOT for IIJA Match Program funds for
the North Broadway Park and Ride facility project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City agrees to provide 100 percent of the local share
necessary for expenses that exceed funds available from the State.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to
execute these agreements and any amendments thereto and all other documents,
certifications, and contracts in order to obtain the grant assistance requested.
