RESOLUTION
Authorizing a Local Road Improvement Program Grant Application (J7336).
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is soliciting applications
for the Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP); and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Rochester has approved Project No. J7336
in the 2026-2031 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP); and
WHEREAS, the City of Rochester intends to submit a grant application intersection safety
thth
improvements at 34 Avenue NW at 65 Street NW, along with construction of the
th
connection of Winesap Drive NW at 34 Avenue NW.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester
that the Common Council authorizes the submittal of the LRIP grant application.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Rochester agrees to
fund all engineering, right of way, inspection, and other non-LRIP eligible costs, as well as
LRIP-eligible items in excess of the LRIP grant amount for Project No. J7336.
