HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 006-26 - Resolution - North Rock Real Estate Broker Services RESOLUTION Adopting a Resolution Approving the Acceptance of the RFP Proposal from North Rock Real Estate for Brokerage Services Related to the Marketing and Sale of the Fire Station 2 Excess Land WHEREAS, the City of Rochester (the “City”) has identified twenty-two City-owned parcels for potential disposition in alignment with its long-term real estate and economic development strategies, including the 1.1-acre parcel of excess land adjacent to Fire Station 2 (the “Site”); and WHEREAS, the City, with support from Dialect Real Estate Advisors (“Dialect”), issued a competitive Request for Proposals (“RFP”) seeking qualified real estate brokerage firms to lead the marketing and sale of the Site; and WHEREAS, following evaluation of the firms’ qualifications, local expertise, proposed strategies, team capacity, and alignment with the City's objectives, the City and Dialect recommend selecting North Rock Real Estate (“North Rock”) as the brokerage firm best positioned to market the Site; and WHEREAS, North Rock’s proposal includes targeted outreach to multifamily, commercial, hospitality, medical-adjacent, and mixed-use developers; a defined 90– 120-day active marketing window; local market presence; and a comprehensive brokerage and reporting approach, as further detailed in their submitted proposal (the “Proposal”); and WHEREAS, acceptance of North Rock’s Proposal will allow the City to proceed with the structured marketing and potential sale of the Site consistent with its real estate disposition framework and strategic priorities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that the City hereby approves and accepts the RFP Proposal submitted by North Rock Real Estate for brokerage services related to the marketing and sale of the Fire Station 2 excess land and authorizes staff and Dialect Real Estate Advisors to execute the necessary engagement documents and proceed with the brokerage assignment.
