RESOLUTION
Authorizing preliminary approval for relocation of wood debris commercial
operations to the northeast portion of the KR3 reservoir site subject to final
construction and permit approvals and authorizing preliminary support for a
funding request of up to $350,000 in contingency funds for project costs associated
with relocating commercial processing of wood debris for continued wood waste
management.
WHEREAS, Relocation of wood waste operations at Hathway Tree Service is
recommended; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommend relocating commercial wood waste receiving and processing
operations to the northeast portion of the KR3 reservoir site; and
WHEREAS, The target budget for this relocation work is $700,000. The requested funding
source for this is for 50% to come from internal budgets between impacted departments and
divisions; and
WHEREAS, Council is being requested to authorize preliminary support of up to $350,000
in contingency funds for the remaining 50% cost of this work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
MN authorizes the relocation of commercial operations to the northeast portion of the KR3
reservoir site.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Rochester, MN
authorizes preliminary funding support for up to $350,000 in contingency funding for project
costs associated with relocating commercial processing of wood debris for continued wood
waste management.
