RESOLUTION
Awarding Contract for Project No. J2201 – 2026 Pavement Maintenance -
Mastic
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): Project
No. J2201 – Pavement Maintenance - Mastic, the following bids were received complying
with the advertisement:
Bidders Total
Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp $107,500
Bargen Incorporated $121,800
Northwest Asphalt & Maintenance $178,400
Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, LLC $187,600
Allied Blacktop Company No Bid
WHEREAS it appears that Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp., is the lowest responsive
and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota, that the bid of $107,500 is hereby accepted and execution of the standard City
contract for construction with Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp., is authorized for the
following approved local improvements: Project No. J2201 – Pavement Maintenance -
Mastic and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within ten days
after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time, they
shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
