RESOLUTION
Approving an Amendment to the 2026 Water Utility Capital Budget in the Amount of
$3,935,000 for Growth-Related Water Infrastructure.
WHEREAS, Rochester Public Utilities has identified growth-related water infrastructure
investments necessary to support planned development within the City of Rochester; and
WHEREAS, the Country Club Road Water Main Extension, Kalmar Booster Station, and
2026 water main oversizing require authorization in 2026 to allow Rochester Public Utilities
to proceed with project bidding and award on schedules that support planned development;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed 2026 Water Utility Capital Budget amendment includes
$1,200,000 for the Country Club Road Water Main Extension, $2,150,000 for the Kalmar
Booster Station, and $585,000 for water main oversizing, for a total amendment of
$3,935,000; and
WHEREAS, development agreements associated with the Country Club Road Water Main
Extension and Kalmar Booster Station provide for recovery of a portion of eligible
infrastructure costs as development occurs; and
WHEREAS, the Rochester Public Utility Board has recommended that the Common Council
approve the amendment to the 2026 Water Utility Capital Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota, that the 2026 Water Utility Capital Budget is amended by $3,935,000 as follows:
1. $1,200,000 for the Country Club Road Water Main Extension;
2. $2,150,000 for the Kalmar Booster Station; and
3. $585,000 for water main oversizing.
