Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 162-26 - Resolution - Award of Contract - 2026 Sanitary Sewer Improvements West Zumbro WZ-04-1019 Phase 2 Project No. J78541 RESOLUTION Awarding Contract for J78541 2026 Sanitary Sewer Improvements West Zumbro WZ- 04-1019 Phase 2 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): Project No. J78541 2026 Sanitary Sewer Improvements West Zumbro WZ-04-1019 Phase 2 the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Minger Construction Company Inc $3,062,640 Geislinger & Sons, Inc $3,620,849.80 S R Weidema, Inc $3,634,896.50 S M Hentges & Son, Inc $3,806,000 Elcor Construction, Inc $3,848,935 Meyer Contracting Inc $3,973,983.33 A-1 Excavating LLC $4,666,666; and WHEREAS, it appears that Minger Construction Company Inc. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that the bid of $3,062,640, is hereby accepted and execution of the standard City contract for construction with Minger Construction Company Inc, is authorized for the following approved local improvements: Project No. J78541 2026 Sanitary Sewer Improvements West Zumbro WZ-04-1019 Phase 2; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within ten days after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time, they shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
