Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 163-26 - Resolution - Award of Contract - Sanitary Sewer Extension West Zumbro WZ-22-1058 Project No. J7862 RESOLUTION Awarding Contract for J7862 Sanitary Sewer Extension West Zumbro WZ-22-1058 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): Project No. J7862 Sanitary Sewer Extension West Zumbro WZ-22-1058 the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Fitzgerald Excavating & Trucking $3,620,113 ICON, LLC $3,729,970 Elcor Construction, Inc $3,788,291.31 Geislinger & Sons, Inc $4,245,742 A-1 Excavating LLC $4,293,007 Rachel Contracting, LLC $4,347,421 S R Weidema, Inc $4,360,327.50 S M Hentges & Son, Inc $4,729,000 Heselton Construction $5,081,474 Minger Construction Company Inc $6,320,000 Meyer Contracting Inc $6,610,251.65; and WHEREAS, it appears that Fitzgerald Excavating & Trucking is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that the bid of $3,620,113, is hereby accepted and execution of the standard City contract for construction with Fitzgerald Excavating & Trucking, is authorized for the following approved local improvements: Project No. J7862 Sanitary Sewer Extension West Zumbro WZ-22-1058; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within ten days after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time, they shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
