RESOLUTION
Approve Secondary Firm Natural Gas Supply Agreement for Mount Simon Station
WHEREAS, RPU staff through agreed-upon contract terms and conditions working with
Constellation New Energy – Gas Division, LLC; and
WHEREAS, the RPU Board and City Council approved a similar Gas Supply Contract for
RPU’s Westside Energy Station in 2025; and
WHEREAS, approval by the RPU Board on September 29, 2026 to request entering a Gas
Supply Contract for Mount Simon from the Common Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
MN that the Common Council concurs in the September 29, 2026 resolution of the
Rochester Public Utility Board which approved the Transaction Confirmation for Secondary
Firm Natural Gas Supply for the future Mount Simon generating facility.
