have to levy additional taxes for this. A motion was then made by Tingley, that the Council
approve this project known as the finishing of the mezzanine floor (T3 part 2). Wilkus
seconded the motion and all voting in favor thereof, President Kamm declared the motion carried.
A motion was then made by Han& that the resolution accepting the bids of Kraus -
Anderson, Inc. for General Construction; Bernard A. Kirckof'for Mechanical Work; Emil J. Nietz
and Donald H. Nietz for Electrical Work and Emil J. Nietz and Donald H. Nietz for Field and
Run -Way Lighting at the Rochester (neu) Municipal Airport be adopted as read with the project
known as the finishing of -the mezzaine floor (T3 part 2) included. Wilkus seconded the -motion
and all voting in favor thereof, President Kamm declared the said resolution duly passed and
adopted.
Upon motion by Tingley, second by McGuckin, the meeting was adjourned.

Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota,
held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in said City, on April 25, 1959.
President Kamm called the meeting,to order at 12:10 P. M., the following members being
present:- President Kamm, Aldermen Haas, Hanlon, McGuckin, Morris, Tingley, Wilkus.
The call of the special meeting was read and President Kamm ordered the same placed on
file, the said meeting having been called for, the purpose of considering the necessary resolution
to adopt daylight saving time for the City of Rochester.
.Alderman Haas introduced a resolution"that effective as of 2:00 o'clock A. M. on
Sunday the 26th day of April, 1959, the standard official time within the territorial limits of •
the City of Rochester Minnesota shall be so called "daylight saving time" and at that hour the
time in the City of Rochester shall be advanced one hour ahead of the mean solar time of the
ninetieth meridian of longitude west of Greenwich, commonly known as Central Standard time and
that time shall continue as the standard official time until 2:00 o'clock A. M. on the 27th day
of September 195911, which was read. A motion was made by Haas, second by Hanlon, that the said
resolution be passed as read and upon roll call and all voting in favor thereof, except McGuckin
and Tingley, who voted"no", President Kamm declared the said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Upon motion by Haas, second by Wilkus, the meeting was adjourned.
