Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota
held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City, on March 30, 1966.
President DeVries called -the meeting to order at 4:30 o'clock P. M., the following
members being present: 'President DeVries, Aldermen Day, Eichten, Hanlon, McCaleb.' Absent:
Aldermen Perry and Wilson.
The call of the special meeting was read and President DeVries ordered that the same
be placed'on file, the said meeting having been called for the'purpose of approving bills in
this years budget and any other business the said Common Council may deem proper.
A motion was made by Eichten, second by` Day, that the five following resolutions
appropriating city funds for various purposes be considered by the Common Council as a single
group, all present voted in favor thereof. A motion was then made by Hanlon, second by Day,
that the following five resolutions be adopted as read and all voting in favor thereof-,
President DeVries declared the said 'resolutions duly passed and 'adopted:
1. Resolution appropriating $-208.79 from the Parking Meter Fund, $201.64 from the
Music Fund, $2,438.84 from the Auditorium Fund and $234.36 from the Lighting Fund and orderinj
payment made to` Duro Test Corporation $208.79; Mayo Civic'Auditorium $201.64; Park Department`
$1,982.72 `and City of Rochester Public Utilities $690.48.
2. Resolution appropriating $4,011.56 from the General Fund and $1,064.34 from the
Street & Alley Fund and ordering payment made to Permanent Improvement .Fund $284.10; World
Travel Bureau, Inc. $266.80; City of Rochester %600.00; Wm. H. Ziegler Company $534.57;
Doyle Conner Company $2,070.63 and R. V. Ehrick, City Attorney $1,320.00.'
3. Resolution appropriating $576'.40 from the Police Fund; $9,291.33 from the Lighti
Fund; $547.25 from the Fire Fund;'$238.15 from the'General Fund and $3,794.96 from the Sewer
Fund and ordering payment made to Cronin Peterson $231.40; Eastman Kodak Stores $345.00; Peop
Natural Gas $444.38 and City of Rochester, P.U. $13,427.31.
4. Resolut`ion appropriating $146,112.86 from the Sewer Fund and ordering payment made
to Sinking Fund $145,129.07; Green Bay Foundry � Machine Works $392.68; Flexible Pipe Tool
Co. $222.71 and Sanfax Corp. $368.40.
5. Resolution appropriating $6,268.45 from the Street & Alley Fund and ordering
payment made to Michael Todd & Company $372.07; Arden Rud & Aon $272.29; Phil Zieman $240.44;1
Glynn Pyfferon $296.95; Stan Watson $249.69; Phil Ryan $451.51; Leon Joyce Construction
$3,796.50 and Rochester Sand & Gravel $589.00.
The following claims were each read and upon motion by Eichten, second by Day, and alll
voting in favor thereof, the same were approved and the Mayor and City Clerk were authorized
and directed to draw warrants upon theCity Treasurer and make payments accordingly: .
From the General Fund: Mayo Clinic $90.00; Philip Miller $56.00; Hollands $2.40; The
Johnson Company $31.80; Quality Printers & Stationers $6.75; Amateur Softball Assn. $16.07;
Wilton Manufacturing Company $165.60; Special School District A $55.68 and Mayo Civic
Additorium $85.00.

Upon motion by Day, second by Eichten, and all present voting in favor thereof,
the meeting was adjourned.
