of the City of Rochester, Minn., May Ilf ,�, 1966
Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in said City, on May 19, 1966.
President DeVries called the meeting to order at 4:30 P. M., the following
rs being present: President DeVries, Aldermen Eichten, Folkert, McCaleb, Perry, Wilson.
sent: Alderman Day.
The call of the special meeting was read and President DeVries ordered the same
placed on file, the said meeting haveing been called for the purpose of considering granting
a transfer of "on" and "off" sale 3.2 beer license from the Capitol Eat Shop to Roy Schlief
for Baby Roy's and any other business the said Common Council may deem proper.
President DeVries stated that this meeting had been called to consider the
transfer of this license but it was now made evident that there were a anumber of things that
had not been done. Garnet Spring, Building Inspector, reported that ghwn the remodeling was
on the Capitol Eat Shop, they did not.get a building permit, they do not have an
occupancy permit (each Inspector signs this permit after the work is satisfactorily completed)
and they do not have a fire inspection certificate; he said the Electrical Inspector would not
sign the occupancy permit because there were things that should be done in the basement of
the building. Mr. Roy Schlieff was present and stated that he was not aware that these
things had to be done.
No action was taken at this meeting and Mr. Schlieff was instructed to check
th the Inspection Department and get everything up to date before the licenses would be
transferred.
Upon motion by Eichten, second by Wilson, and all present voting in favor
,thereof, the meeting was adjourned.
