Minutes of an adjourned regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of
Rochester, Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City, on February 24,
1971.
The meeting was called to order at 4 90 P. M. and the members of the Council then
proceeded to the Polling places in the First Ward to check the voting machines and canvass the
votes for the City Primary Election held in the First Ward on February 23, 1971.
President Postier called the meeting to order again at 5:00 P. M.,,,with the
following members being present: President Postier, Aldermen Larson, McNary, Novak, Strain,
Willmarth. Absent: Alderman Ludowese. •
Resolution showing the results of the City Primary Election as follows, and
instructing the City Clerk to cause the names of Frank Moody and Darrell G. Strain to be placed
on the ballot as candidates for Alderman of the First Ward:

Upon motion by Willmarth, second by McNary, and all present voting in favor, resolution adopted.
Upon motion by McNary, second by Willmarth, and all present voting in favor, the
meeting was adjourned.

Township is filing an objection with the'Municipal Commission objecting to the
annexation of a strip of land running from the City limits south to the Rochester
Airport ( this annexation was approved by the Council in April of 1970)

Inn Towne South (Vogel Outdoor Advertising) also referred to Police Department
for their comments, if any.
