1970 Fire Prevention Code, and stated that sprinklers should
:not be. -necessary in- buildings "with' fully fireproof construction and
automatic alanfn systems. Alderman Larson stated that the way
the code is'w6rded now, -sprinklers are.required for 'indoor swimming
pools. The Council- -agreed :to reyeiw -the code' provisions with
the Fire Chief and Mr. Bishop at the Committee of the Whole
meeting January 28, 1974.

6. Northern Natural Gas has filed a notice amending an earlier notification
of price increase to reflect an additional 1 1/10 of one cent increase
per Mcf effective 12-27-73. This rate adjustment will cause a yearly
price increase of $.17 to $.20 for the average domestic natural gas
consumer.
