Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motion Carried. Larson moved, Ludowese seconded to table the tabulation of bids for hospitalization and life insurance. Bids were opened June 13, 1974 and companies bidding were Travelers Insurance Company and Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The awarding of bids.will take place at the next Council meeting. Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motion carried. Kamper moved, Ludowese seconded to instruct the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance for subsequent adoption on the Proposed annexation of the East 1/2 of the S. E. 1/4 of Section 10, T 106N R 14W lying North of Mayowood Road S. W. ( U.S. 52 SW and Mayowood Road S. W. ). Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motion carried. Kamper moved, Ludowese seconded to attempt general legislation to enable the City of Rochester to designate_ certain public right', of, way to be used for pedestrian malls etc. and to contact the League of Minnesota Municipalities for support. Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motion carried. Strain moved, McNary seconded to approve the application for the preliminary plat of Crescent Park Ninth Addition. Ayes (7), Nays (0 Motion carried. McNary moved, Strain seconded the application for a Planned Unit Development ( Preliminary Plan ) for 1221 1/2 Marion Road S. E. subject to the 24 foot wide paved street with concrete curb and gutter on the South side of the property; with the provision that no other access be put in this property and the following six recommendations as stated by the Planning Department 1. The land be replatted . 2. The commercial area be landscaped and a screening be installed along the north property line. 3. The southerly vehicular access be used. The other one should be .omi tted. 4. The plan should indicate "no parking" on the vehicular acces 5. Some provision should be made for storm shelter protection. 6. The plan should indicate that the vehicular accessways will be constructed to a sufficient extent to permit use by emergency vehicles under usual adverse weather conditions before occupancy is permitted. Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motion carried. Ludowese moved, McNary seconded to approve the application for a Planned Unit Development ( concept statement and Preliminary plan for Westminister Square S. W. Corner of 41st St. N. W. and 18th Ave. N. W. and include the provision of garages that may be built if the need is requested. Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motion carried.
