Absent: Alderman Powers. The call of -,the special meeting w.as read by President Postier, the call was for the purpose of considering a resolution to HUD relating to Low -Income Housing in.the flood fringe, -:and any other business the Common Council may deem proper. Allen moved, Strain second to adopt Resolution No. 346-75 stating that the City of Rochester requests that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development approve the River Park and Pruett Towers projects for housing assist- ance under Section 8 of the Housing and Community Develop Act of 1974 and request approval of funding for 245 new a rehabilitated housing units under Section 8 of the same Act of 1974. These areas are located in the flood fringe, but since Rochester is almost primarily located in the flood fringe, any construction in this area will be prop- erly cared for. Ayes (6), Nays (0). Motion carried. Allen moved, Strain second to adopt Resolution No. 347-75 approving the license agreement between the City and the Chicago and North Western Transportation Company pertainin to the installation of a watermain under the company's tra to serve the Cascade Creek gas turbine power -plant, and th Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign said agreement Ayes (6) .Nays (0) . Motion carried. McNary moved, Larson second to adopt the prepared Resoluti No. 348-75 authorizing the City Clerk to advertise for bid on the following project No. 7505-0-75 J 8536 Sanitary Sewer Watermain, and Storm Sewer on the extension of Va:l;kyrie Drive from the south line of Valhalla 3rd Subd. to the south line of the Hiawatha Children's Home Property and to serve lots fronting 20th. St. N. W. in proposed Woo gate 1st Subdivision. Bids will be opened on October 29, at 11:00 A.M. Ayes (6) ; Nays (0). Motion carried.
