July 3, 1941 3491 • j Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of City of Rochester, Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall in said City Ion July 3rd, 1941. President Lemmon called the meeting to order at 3:00 o'clock P.M., the ollowing members being present: 'President Lemmon, Aldermen Anderson, Bowers, anson, Mrachek, Williams, Yeager. Absent: none. The call for the Special Meeting was read, and President Lemmon ordered that the same be placed, -on file; said rneeting,having been called for the purpose ,of further considering the proposed contract with St. Mary's Hospital; and any other business the said Common Council may deem proper. The proposed agreement between the City of Rochester, Minnesota and the Academy of Our Lady of Lourdes dated July 3, 1941, was presented to the Common Council by the City Attorney, acid upon motior_'by Williams, seconded by Hanson, and all voting'in favor thereof, the said agreement was approved, acid the Mayor and City Clerk were'authorized to•sign same. Upon motion by Mrachek,'seconded by Bowers, the petition of the Academy of Our Lady of Lourdes,'that all of the site'and grounds of St.'Mary's Hospital not presently'included within the City'limits, be annexed to'the City of Rochester, 4innesota, was accepted, and the City Attorney was instructed to prepare an Ordinance covering the annexation of said tract of'land.' The'application of Kermit Paulson for license to sell soft drinks on July 4, 1941 was read, and upon Lotion by Botiets and seconded by Hanson, the license.was granted for'one day. - The apF-)lication of Lillian L. Neumann for license to sell soft drinks was read, and upon motion by Mrachek and seconded by Bowers, the license was granted. Upon motion by,Williams, seconded by Bowers, the meeting was adjourned.
