RECORD OF OFFICIAL. PROCEEDINGS OF. THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ROCHESTER, MINN., January 2, 1942
Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of Roch-
ester, Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall in said City on
January 2, 1942.
President Lemmon called the meeting to order at 5:00 o'clock P. M., the
following members being present. President Lemmon, Aldermen Anderson, Bowers,
Hanson, Mrachek, Williams and Yaeger. Absent: none.
Upon motion by Williams, second by Hanson the minutes of the meeting ofl
(December 19, 1941 were approved.
The call of the special meeting was read, and President Lemmon ordered
that same be placed on file; said meeting having been called for the purpose of
considering the request of Charles Conradson and Gladys Conradson, his wife, John'i
Ryan and Esther Ryan, his wife, Fred Roban and Laura Roban, his ,rife, Tony Erick-
son and Celia Erickson, his wife, and Mary'Proud (single), owners of Outlot one
(1) Panning's Sub -Division except the north ninty five (95) feet of the west fifty,
(50) feet thereof, and Lots six (b) and a part of Lot sixteen (lb) Auditor's Plat,
"A", more particularly described as follows; Commencing for a place of beginning
at a point on the north line of Section one(1) Township one hundred six (106)
North of Range fourteen (14) west, said point being the north one -sixteenth (1/16)
corner of the northeast one quarter (Q) of said section, and 'running thence south
five hundred twenty two and three tenths (522.3) feet, thence east thirty (30)
feet, thence south two hundred ninety and ninety eight one hundredths (290.9g)
feet to,the center of Fourth (4th) Street Southeast, running thence northeasterly
along the center line of said Fourth (4th) Street Southeast one hundred twenty-

seven and twenty-six one hundredths (127.26) feet, running thence north seven
hundred forty five and thirty two one hundredths (745.32) feet to the north line
of said section, and running thence west along the north line of said section
one hundred thirty seven and ninety four one hundredths (137.94) feet to place of
beginning; such Sub -Division to be known and designated as "Re -Plat of Lots six
Land sixteen Auditor's Plat "A" and Outlot'one, Fanning's Sub -Division."
Mr. John J. Kerr, County Surveyor, appeared at the meeting and presented,
a Surveyor's Certificate certifying that at the request of'the above.named proper
owners, he was presenting a plat of the property owned by them, and requested tha
same be approved by the Common Council.
Upon motion by Anderson, second by Hanson the said plat was approved anc
the City Clerk was authorized to sign the certificate of approval of the plat by
the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota.

acific Store were each read and upon motion by Yaeger, second by Bowers, the

The applications of Harold Waters, James Joslin and Walter Scharnweber
or Driver's license were each read, and upon motion by Bowers, second by Mrachek
he licenses were granted.
A copy of a resolution passed by the Public Utility Board of the City of
Rochester requesting the Common Council of said City to authorize the Public Utili�
Board to enter into contract with the Hayes Lucas Lumber Company for the furnish-
ng of fencing, gates, locks and posts in the sum of $4,110.00 was read, and.Presi
ent Lemmon ordered that.same be placed on file.
Alderman Anderson introduced a resolution authorizing the Public Utilityl
oard to enter into contract with the Hayes Lucas Lumber Company for the furnishin
f fencing, gates, locks and posts in the sum of $4,110.00, which was read.
Upon motion by Williams, second by Yaeger that the said resolution be
dopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the
aid resolution duly passed and adopted.
Mayor Grassle stated that the Commodity Allocation Boards had been
appointed for the City of Rochester, and Olmsted County, and that he had made his
6ffice in the City Hall available for meetings of these Boards.
Upon motion by Williams second by Bowers the meeting was adjourned.
