RECORD OF OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL

113.2 Beer "Off Sale"License #743 and "On Sale" License #429, was read, and upon
�Imotion by- Nass, second by Fryer, the transfer was approved.
The application of C. R. Hutchinson for license to sell soft drinks was
read, and.upon motion by Fryer, second by Hanson, the licens.e was granted.
The applications. of HL Dornack and L. F., Milostan for Plumber's License
1were each read, and upon motion by Hanson,- second by Nass, the licenses were grant;;`ed.
The applications of Nichols, Dean & Gregg. Co., and the DeSota Creamery
I& Produce Co., for permit to place and maintain a sign, were.each read, and upon
(motion by Fryer, second by Hanson,.the.permi.ts were granted.
The.Official bond of. Francis E. Merry in the sum of $1000.00 with the
(Fidelity & Casualty Company -of New York as surety,' -and the license bonds of Her-_
man -Dornack ,in the sum of $1000..00 with th.e American Surety Company _of New York
as surety; L.. F. Milostan and J. A. Daly, each in the sum of $1000.00, with the
National Surety.Cor-poration, were eadh read, and upon motion by Hanson, second by
Fryer, the bonds were; approved, the surety thereon accepted and it was ordered th
same be placed on file.

Park Improvement Fund and.ordering payment made to the F.E.Williams Estate Trust
IFund.to set up same. as a -separate fund, which was read.
Upon motion by. Hanson, second by Fryer, that the said resoluution be
(adopted as read, and.all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the
(said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Fryer introduced a.resolution appropriating $311.59 from the
General Fund, and $43.56 from the Street.and Alley Fund, and ordering payment made
Ito State of Minnesota, Department of Taxation, Petroleum Division for state tax an
l inspection fee pn gasoline and fuel oil, : which was read.
Upon motion by Nass, second by.Hanson that the said resolution be
ladopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon-declared-the
(said resolution duly passed and adgpted.
Alderman Fryer.introduced a resolution appropriating $270.94 from the
General Fund, $2.00 from the Street & Alley Fund, $14.40 from the Fire -Protection
Fund,.and.$2960.73 from the Lighting Fund, and ordering.payment made to City of

Rochester, Public.Utilities, for light and water used, which was read.
Upon motion by Fryer, second by Hanson that the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Fryer introduced a resolution appropriating $563.37 from the
(Park Improvement Fund and $92.49 from the Lighting Fund and ordering payment made
to City of Rochester, Public Utilities, for electricity and water used, which wa
read.
Upon motion by Nass, second by Fryer that the said resolution be adop'te
las_.read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the said reso
lution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Fryer introduced a resolution appropriating $227.00 from the
Sewer Fund and ordering payment made to_the North`Star Iron Works for manhole rings
land covers, inlets etc., which was read.
Upon motion by Fryer, second by.Hanson that the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Hanson introduced a resolution appropriating $305.28 from•the
!Park Improvement Fund and ordering, payment made to C. C.Pagenhart for curb along
south side of St. Marys Park, which was read.
Upon motion by Nass, second by Fryer that_the said resolution be adopte
-as read, and all voting in f avor.thereof, President Lemmon declared_the said reso

Alderman,Hanson introduced a resolution appropriating $297.00 from the
(Sewer Fund and ordering payment made to the Iowa.Pipe & Tile Company for 50 pieceE
ID.S. Pipe, which was read.
Upon motion by Yaeger, second by Nass that.the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Hanson introduced a resolution appropriating $259.00 from the
Street & Alley Fund and ordering payment made to the Kruse Company for 14,000
l bricks, which was read.
Upon motion by Nass, second by Yaeger that the said.resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Hanson introduced a resolution appropriating $314.92 from the
Sewer Fund,and ordering payment made to the What Cheer Clay Products Company for.

Upon motion by Fryer, second by Hanson that -the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Hanson introduced a resolution appropriating $279.10 from the
Sewer Fund and ordering payment made to the Red Wing Sewer Pipe Co., for 162 feet
of sewer pipe, which was read.
Upon motion by Hanson, second by Fryer that the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared -the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Nass introduced a resolution appropriating $944- 55 from the
General Fund and ordering payment made to the Rochester Post -Bulletin, for offic-
ial printing and publications, which was read.
Upon motion by Fryer, second by Yaeger that the.said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Nass introduced a resolution appropriating $330.19 from the
Sewer Fund and ordering payment made to the Street & Alley Fund for materials
checked out of stock during July, 1942, which was read.
Upon motion by Hanson, second by Fryer that the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Nass introduced a resolution appropriating $1301.95 from the
General Fund and $53.75 from the Sewer Fund and ordering payment made to the
Street and Alley Fund for use of equipment during July, 1942, which was read.
Upon motion by Hanson, second by Fryer that the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the -
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Nass introduced a resolution appropriating $1014.00 from the
Street and Alley Fund and ordering payment made to the Street and Alley Fund for
use of equipment during July, 1942, which was read.
Upon motion by Fryer, second by Yaeger that the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Nass introduced a resolution appropriating $649.09 from the
General Fund and ordering payment made to•the Texas Co. for two transports of
gasoline, which was read.
Upon motion by Yaeger, second by Hanson that the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Lemmon declared the

• A proposal by R. C. Cranston for the servicing of city owned typewriters
} at the rate of $7.50 each per year, exclusive of any new parts, was read, and upon
motion,by Yaeger, second by Hanson, the -proposal was accepted and the Mayor and

} City Clerk were instructed to execute the agreement.
Upon motion by Hanson, second by Fryer, the meeting was adjourned.
