President Postier called the special Council Meeting to order at
4:45 P.M., the following members being present: President Postier
Aldermen Allen, Gray, Larson, Powers, Solinger and Strain. Absent:
None.
The call of the special meeting was read by President Postier, the
said meeting being called for the purpose of considering resolutions
establishing some 1977 salaries and wages and extending 1976 wages
for all others, and any other businesss said Council may deem proper.
Strain moved, Powers second to adopt the resolutions setting salaries
for 1977 for Police, Fire and Inspection. These salaries are included
under their respective collective bargaining agreements. Powers moved
Gray second to reconsider the above motion. Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motioi
carried. Powers moved, Strain second to adopt the prepared Resolutior
No. 15-77 accepting the salaries for 1977 pursuant to the labor
agreement between the City of Rochester and the Rochester Police
Benevolent Association and be placed into effect January 1, 1977.
Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motion carried. Straini moved, Gray second to
adopt Resolution No. 16-77 pursuant to the labor agreement between
the City of Rochester and Local 520 of the International
Association of Firefighters for the year 1977 effective January 1,
1977. Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motion carried. Powers moved, Solinger
second to adopt Resolution No. 17-77 pursuant to labor agreement
between the City of Rochester and the Rochester Inspector's Associatic
and be placed in effect January 1, 1977. Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motion
Carried.
Gray moved, Strain second to adopt Resolution No. 18-77 extending
1976 wage and salary rates for all City Employees except Police,
Frie and Inspector employees covered by collective bargaining
agreements and until such a time as ,the 1977 wage rates are establish
Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motion carried.
Having no further business, Larson moved, Powers second to adjourn th
meeting. Ayes (7), Nays (0). Motion carried.
