Motion carried. E-1 Strain moved, Powers second to refer the agreement with Chamber of Commerce for Economic Development and Tourism Activities to the Financ Committee for further information. E-2 Powers moved, Strain second.to authorize the City Administrator's Offi to reflect the placement of $34,000: into.:,a local option/contingency in the Community, -Development Block Grant application. Bids to be opened at 11:00 A.M. on April 12, 1979. Ayes (6), Nays (0). Motion carried. Allen moved, Strain second to approve the semi-monthly bills (list attached ) in the amount of $316,106.28. Ayes (6), Nays (0). Motion carried. Powers moved, Larson second to adopt Resolution No. 194-79 authorizin the City Clerk to advertise for bids on the Removal of the Mayo Park Bandstand. Bids to be opened at 11:00 A.M. on May 2, 1979. Ayes (6), Nays (0). Motion carried. Larson moved, Allen second'to approve the application for a Metes and Bounds Conveyance of Unplatted Land by Dashow Properties, Inc. - for an 8.5 acre parcel adjacent to McQuillan Park with the condition that.if this is to be used privately it will have to be platted. Ayes (6), Nays (0). Motion carried. Allen moved, Solinger second to adopt Resolution No. 195-79 authorizi the City Clerk to advertise for bids on a mid size car with the alternative of air conditioning and a sub -compact 2 dr. sedan for the Public Services Department. Bids are to be --received until 11:00 A.M. on April 12, 1979. Ayes (6), Nays (0). Motion carried. Strain moved, Powers second to adopt Resolution No. 196-79 approving the variance to the Subdivision Ordinance pertaining to the Dashow Metes and Bounds Subdivision - This is a creation of a lot with no public street frontage. The reason for this is the land is given to the Park Department for a park. Ayes (6), Nays (0). Transportation Study ) 1. deletion of 37th Street N. W. collector system from T.H. 52 west to Circle Drive West. (2) Extension of 41st St. N. W. from West River Parkway to West Circle Drive with designation as collector. (3) Extension of 33rd Street N. W. from 18th Avenue N. W. to County Road 4 with designation as a collector ( this roadway would intersect County Road 4 at 32nd Avenue N. W.) (4) deletion of the interchange at 37th Street N. W. B-5 A Hearing on the Project No. 7901 J 8681 The extension of Sanitary Sewer and Watermain to serve the new Southeast Junior High School. Wishing to be heard was Pauline Kaus.of 22nd•St. S. E: and is opposed to this. Wishing to be heard was Mary Malloy of that area and she wanted to know if interestwould be charged on the assessment if they were annexed and had to pay for the assessment. She was informed that the assessment would be charged as a held deferred assessment an that she would be charged interest if she did not pay immediately and the assessment was spread on her tax roll. Wishing to be heard was Art Paulish of 2810 19th Avenue.S. E. and wanted the deferred assess- ment.plan explained to him. The Public Services Department answered his question. Wishing to be heard was Robert Hilfers of 1503 25th Street S. E. and wanted information on the cost of this assessment. Ms Malloy mentioned that they were brining in dirt from another area to fill in the places needed so that they would be protected from flooding.
