Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of
Rochester, Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers in'the City Hall, in said City,
on January 29. 1951-
President Fryer called the meeting to order at 7.:.30 oPclock P.M., the
following members being present: President Fryer, Aldermen Amu ndsen,_Anderson.,
Helmkay,-McPherson and Miner. Absent: Alderman Morris.
The call of the special meeting was read and President Fryer ordered
that the same be placed on file, the said meeting having been called for - the
purpose of considering an amendment to an Ordinance establishing charges and rates
for the us-e and -service of the Sewage Works of the City of Rochester, Minnesota
(same being Ordinance No.- 725).-
An Ordinance amending an Ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance establishing
charges and rates for the use and service of the Sewage Works .of the City of
Rochester. Minnesota", was given its first reading.
Upon motion by Anderson, second by Miner, and upon roll call and all
voting in favor thereof, the rules were suspended and the Ordinance was. given its
second reading.
Upon motion by Amundsen, second by Miner, and upon roll call and all
voting in favor thereof, the rules were suspended.and the Ordinance was given its
third and final reading. .
Upon motion by Anderson, second by Helmkay, that the said Ordinance be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Fryer declared the
said Ordinance duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Amundsen introduced a resolution granting four public dance
permits to Archie Dieter, which was read.
Upon motion by Amundsen, second by A2derson, that the Vsaid resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Fryer declared the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Anderson introduced a resolution appropriating $12,479,50 from
the.Park Improvement Fund and ordering payment made to the Mayo Civic Auditorium
Revolving Fund, which was read.
Upon motion by Anderson, second by Helmkay, that the said resolution be
adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Fryer declared.the
said resolution duly passed and adopted.
The application for transfer of "On Sale" non -intoxicating malt liquor
license No. 671 and "Off Sale" non -intoxicating malt liquor license. No. '1288 from
Fergus Brackenbery to Clayton Dornack was read and upon motion by Helmkay, second
by Anderson, the transfer was granted.

The application of Gus Anton for transfer of "On Sale" Intoxicating

Liquor License No. 269 from Gus Anton and Harold A. Hoffman to himself, was
read and upon motion by Amundsen, second by Helmkay, the transfer was granted.
Upon motion by Miner, second by Helmkay, the meeting was adjourned.
