Be it -further resolved by the said Common Council:
That Adolph M. Bach and Mayne Davis are hereby declared to be
candidates for Alderman at Large of the City of Rochester, Minnesota,
at the Charter -Election to be held March 11, 1952,
That Clarence C. Harders and Raymond C. Schroeder are hereby
declared to be candidatew for Alderman of the First Ward of the City
of Rochester, Minnesota, at the Charter Election to be held March 11,
1952.
That William K. Helmkay and Stanley M.Morris are hereby declared
to be candidates for Alderman of the Second Ward of the City of
Rochester, Minnesota, at the Charter Election to be held ~larch 11,1952.
That Raymond F. McPherson and Emrold Thism are hereby declared
to be candidates for Alderman of the Third Ward of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota, at the Charter Election to be held March 11, 1952.
-The City'Clerk of said City is hereby instructed to cause the
names of the said persons to be printed as candidates for the respective
offices upon the official ballots at the coming Charter Election to be
held March 11, 1952. It
A motion was made by Davis, second by McPherson, that the said
resolution be adopted as read, and all present goting in favor thereof,
President Fryer declared the said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Davis introduced a resolution appropriating $20,946.09 from
the Park Improvement Fund and ordering payment made to the Mayo Civic
,Auditorium Revolving Fund, which was read.
Upon motion by Davis, second by Leo Anderson, that the said resolu-
tion be adopted as read, and all present voting in favor thereof, President
Fryer declared the said resolution duly passed and adopted.

The, matter of submitting an amendment to the Dog Ordinance (No.563)
for a referendum vote at the Charter Election to. be held on. March 11, 1952 was
again taken up by the Council. A motion wa-s made by Davis, second .by
McPh•ers.on, instructing. the City Attorney and the City Clerk to have the
following. question placed on the b-allot. All present voted in favor of ,the
motion..
Shall the City Council consider the adoption of an
amendment to the Dog Ordinance requiring dogs -to b,e
confined to the owners premises or on leash during
th,e months. of April, May and June of each year.

Upon motion by McPherson, -second by Davis, the Mayor's 'Secretary,
Mr.• H. Williams' Smollett, was• authorized- to' take charge of all publicity in
,connection with the above question•to•be voted upon at the City Charter
Plection•.
