The following recommendation of the Rochester Real Estate Commission
was read together with their recommendation that the 52 applications received
at the meeting of April 7th be granted
"To the Mayor
And Common Council
City of Rochester
Gentlemen:
The Rochester Real Estate Commission was created by ordinance
Yo. 702.
The present board can see no real reason to have this board,
the way the ordinance is set up.
The applications come to the Common Council and are then sent
to the board. As long as there are no charges against any of
the applicants, we have to recommend they be granted.
in our opinion, this ordinance should be amended so that the
Common Council will pass on the applications, and if any
changes are brought against any licensed realtor then your
Real Estate Commission can investigate and recommend what
charges to prefer.
J. P. Huyber, a member of our Board, passed away some time
ago, and it leaves as one member short. As the ordinance
cells for a five man board, and it is your Irish to continue
this board, may we suggest that you appoint another member.
Sincerely,
ROCHESTER REAL ESTATE COMMISSION
H. J. Postier, Secretary"
