Record of Official Proceedings of the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minn., July 10, 1952 • Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers in the.City Hall, in said City on July 10, 1952. President Bach called the meeting to order at 5:00 o'clock P.M., the following members•being present: President Bach, Aldermen Anderson, Brumm, Davis, Morris, Schroeder and Thiem. Absent: None. The call of the special meeting was read and President Bach ordered the same placed on file, the said meeting having been called for the purpose of considering the application of Robert P. Kennedy for transfer of "Off Sale" Intoxicating.liquor license No. 10 and any other business the said Common Council may deem proper. The application for transfer of "off sale" intoxicating liquor license No. 10 from Robert.P. Kennedy to Sam Golob was read and upon motion by Morris, second by Thiem, the transfer was granted subject to the approval of the Liquor Control Commissioner. The surety bond of Sam Golob in the amount of $1,000.00 with Sam Golob as principal and the Fireman°s Fund Indemnity Company as surety was read and upon motion by Schroeder, second by Morris, the bond was approved and the surety thereon accepted. A motion was made by Davis, second by Schroeder, that the following items be presented to the Council for their consideration. All voted in favor ofthe motion. The request of George P. Leiferman and Andrew Koehnen to have an assessment in North Broadway re -assessed, against Lots 1, 4, 5 and g in Block 1, of Leiferman and Koehnen Subdivision was read and the City Clerk was requested to prepare a resolution making the re -assessment and presenting same at the meeting to be held on July 21, 1952. Alderman Thiem introduced a resolution ordering the first hearing on construction of a sanitary sewer and watermain in Westlawn Addition, Block 3 and Mohn and Hodge Replat of Thurberls Third Division, and upon motion by Davis, second by Thiem, and all voting in favor thereof, Pres,i;dent Bach declared the resolution duly passed and adopted. The resignation of Louis V. McGarry as surveyor for the City of Rochester waszead and upon motion by Davis, second by Thiem, the resignation was accepted, effective as of August 15. 1952• The matter of curbs being painted with yellow paint in the residential district was taken up and a motion was made by Anderson, second by Brumm, to notify Miss Charlotte Hanson to.. immediately remove the yellow paint from the FJ 1 • 1 1 1 curb in front of her residence. n U �4 Record ,of. This brought up the question as to what parking space was allowed in front of other hotels and.spartments.. Upon motion by Schroeder, second by Brumm, the assistant Chief of Police was instructed to i - i investigate curb ping in f ront.of apartments and hotels and report to the Council I at the next. meeting.
