McQuillan and Members of the Common Council Rochester, Minnesota Gentlemen: A special meeting of the Board of Park Commissioners was held on Monday, June 27th, to discuss the price offered by the Council for the Kutzky Athletic Field. It was the consensus of opinion that it is the duty of the Park Board to increase the usable park acreages in the city, and that the #13,250 as offered for this property would not be sufficient to buy a desirably -sized tract in a needed location. It was also the opinion of the Board that the appraisers, in setting up that figure, must have disregarded the potential value of this piece of property to commercial interests. The Park Board feels that they must have a minimum of $24,000 for this property if they are to fulfill their trust as custodians of park property. Yours respectfully, BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS s1s Albert J. Toddie, President" Mr. Richard Maass, Mr. Harold Luther, Mr. Edwin Zielske, Mr. Elmer Gottschalk, Mr. 'Im.
