Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of
Rochester, Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in .said. City,
on November 23, 1955•
_President Bach called the meeting to order at :00 o'clock P. M
5 ., the
following members being present:. President Bach,.Aldermen Anderson, Moody,
9chroeder, Schwanke, Tingley and Whiting. Absent: None.
The call.of the special meeting was read and President Bach ordered the
same placed on file, the said meeting having been called for ;the purpose of
considering. the adoption of a resolution ordering bids for construction of a
trunk line sanitary sewer to the Fullerton Elford Addition andany other business
the said Common Council may deem proper.
Mr. George Pougiales,,representing the Fullerton Company,was present
and requested that the Council approve the plans and order the said improvement.
Alderman Whiting introduced a resolution ordering construction of a
trunk line sanitary sewer in Sections 22, 23 and.27, Township 107 North Range 14
West; approving plans and specifications therefor; and ordering advertisements
for bids, which was read. A motion was made by Alderman. Whiting, second by
Alderman Anderson, that the said resolution be adppted as read, and upon roll
call and all.voting in favor thereof, President Bach declared the said resolution
duly passed and adopted.
A motion was made by Alderman Anderson, second by Alderman Schroeder,
that the Council consider other business at this time. All voted in favor of the
mot on.
Alderman Schroeder moves that the Mayor and City Clerk be instructed andl
authorized to execute the release of all claims to North American Van Lines, Don
Carlow and Dewey Ringenberg for damage to the -signal at the intersection of U. S.
Highway No. 52 and State Highway No.63 on November 27, 1954 for the sum of
$1,600.00. Alderman Whiting seconded th-e motion and all voted in favor thereof.
Upon motion by Moody, second by Schroeder, the 'meeting was adjourned.
