Whiting voting "no" and Alderman Tingley and President Bach voting "aye",
jPresident Bach declared the resolution not adopted.
C. A. Armstrong, City Engineer, reported that the -statement of Engineer-
ing Services, Certificate of Final Acceptance, construction report and monthly
estimate on State Aid'Project No. 5501-07 at the Rochester Airport referred to
him earlier -in the meeting seemed to be alright. Upon.motion by Schwanke, second
by Tingley, the same were approved and the City Clerk was instructed to sign the
s ame.
A petition to have the following described property annexed -to the
ICity -of Rochester and to be known as Belmont Slopes Second -Addition was read
Itoge,ther with a plat of the said lands:
"Beginning on the South boundary of Belmont Slopes Addition
at a point which is 8 distance of 213.6 feet easterly of
the Southwest corner thereof, thence running South 89 degrees-
30 minutes east along said boundary line for a distance of
254-52 feet to the center -line of Plummer Lane, thence
South 15 degrees 05 minutes East a distance of 180.0 feet
thence South 31.degrees 44 minutes West a distance of 85.0
feet, thence South 0 degrees 13 minutes East a distance of
42.47 feet, thence North 76 degrees 27 minutes West a dist-
ance of 23.01 feet, thence North 55 degrees 34 minutes
West a distance of 198.4.6 feet, thence North 21 degrees
53 minutes West a distance of 186.52 feet to the point of
beginning. Also beginning on the South boundary of Belmont
Slopes Addition at the centerline of Plummer Lane, thence
South 15 degrees 05 minutes East for a distance of 1780.0
feet, thence Northerly for a distance of 100 feet more or
less to a point on the West line of a tract conveyed to
Howard Anderson, thence Northerly 73.7 feet to the South
line of Belmont Slopes Addition at a point 3D.0' feet East
of the point of beginning, thence West 30.0 feet to beginning."
Also a letter from the Public Utility Department stating that the proposed plat had
been examined and they would need no easements on these lots and a letter from the
Planning and Zoning Commission recommending that it be annexed to the City, were
each read. A motion was then made by Alderman Schroeder, second by Alderman
Moody, that the plat be accepted and the City Attorney be instructed to draft
an ordinance annexing the said property. All voted in favor of the motion.
The reports for the month of November, 1955 of the Building Inspector
showing fees collected for building permits issued $501.00; of the Electrical
Inspector showing fees collected for electrical permits issued $106.25; of the
Plumbing Inspector showing fees collected for plumbing permits issued $50.75;
of the Heating Inspector showing fees collected for heating permits issued
$4,580,00 and fees collected for sign permits issued $26.17, were each read and
President Bach referred the same to the Finance Committee.
Mr. C. A. Armstrong, City Engineer, stated that the Street & Alley
�'ommittee had considered the.request of Norbert Huiting to be placed on the
?ayroll on a monthly basis, which had been referred to the said Committee, and
(they recommended that Mr. Huiting be kept on the hourly basis for the balance of
the year.
