of the City of Rochester, Minn., April 20, 19 56 •
Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of
(Rochester, Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers in the,City Hall, in said City,
on April 20, 1956.
President Bach called the meeting to order at 5:00 P. m., the following
i members being present: President Bach, Aldermen Anderson, Moody, Schroeder,
Schwanke, Tingley, Whiting. Absent: None.
The.call of the special meeting was read and President Bach ordered the
same placed on file, the said meeting having been called for the purpose of con-
sidering the recommendation of the Board of Zoning for the change of zoning of the
site of Industrial Opportunities, Inc.
The recommendation of the Board of Zoning that the request of Industrial
Opportunities, Inc. that their recently annexed site be zoned industrial be granted
was read and. upon motion by Schwanke, second by Anderson, the recommendation was
approved and the City Clerk was instructed to publish a notice of a hearing to be
held at 7:30 P. m. on May 2, 1956.
Mr. Harold Kamm, Secretary of. Industrial Opportunities, Inc. , was present
and presented a plat of the newly annexed site of Industrial Opportunities, Inc.
to be known as ValleyHigh Addition and requested that the Council approve the same.
A letter from the City Engineer stating that he had examined the proposed plat
and that it meets the requirements of the ordinance providing minimum standards for
plats, and recommended its approval subject to an agreement by the owners that an
easement for construction and maintenance of sanitary sewer will be granted the
public by the owners along the west boundary of the plat when its proper location
is determined, was read. Alderman Schroeder moved that the plat be approved,
subject to the recommendation of the City Engineer regarding easements for utilities
on the west side. Alderman Moody seconded the motion and all voted in favor
thereof.
Upon motion by Schroeder, second by Anderson, the meeting was adjourned.
