Minutes of a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of
(Rochester, Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in*said City,
on November 29, 1956. '
President Bach called the meeting to order at 4i30 p.m., the following
members being present: President Bach, Aldermen Anderson, Moody, Schroeder,
Schwanke, Tingley, Whiting.
The call of the special meeting was read and President Bach ordered the
same placed on file, the said meeting having been called for the purpose of
instituting condemnation proceedings for acquiring land for the Now Rochester
Airport and any other business the said Common Council 2-lay deem proper.
Alderman Schwanke introduced a resolution instituting condemnation pro-
ceedings for acquiring I land for the New Rochester Airport, which was read. A
motion was made by Alderman Moody, second by Alderman Schroeder, that the said
resolution be adopted as read, and upon roll call and all voting in favor thereof,
President Bach declared the said resolution duly passed and adopted,
A motion was made by Alderman Schwanke, second by Alderman Anderson, that
the Council consider other business at this meeting. Upon roll call all voted in
I favor thereof.
The following recommendation of the Street & Alley Committee was read
and upon motion by,.r Anderson, second by Moody, the recommendation was approved and
the City Clerk was instructed to prepare a resolution revising the said assessment.
All voted in favor thereof.

Gentlemen:
We recommend that the assessments levied on October 1, 1956
for grading, base and bituminous surfacing on 4th Avenue and 16
Street Norhhwest in Lemkels Addition be revised and amended to
include the frontage of 57:95 feet in Outlot 2 of Northern Addition
owned by the Crenlo Co.; in the assessments.
