in the filing of his required weekly reports was that he understood that these

showing expenditures from the General Fund for labor of $1078,38t from the
Street and Alley Fund of $2611*74,, from the Bower Fund of 0140*25 and from
the Permanent Improvement Revolving Fund of $156*48, was read, and motion
by Newhouse second by Wright carried that the same be accepted. and placed
on file.
The report of the Clerk of the Municipal Court f or the week
ending July 28th, 1924, showing fines collected in the amoilnt of $38.95 and civil
fees collected. in the amount of $2.009 was reads and President Weeks referred the
said repdrt to the City Attorney*
The report of the City Justice for the month of Jiine 1924, was reads and
President Weeks referred the said report to the City Attorney.
The report of the Justice of the Peace of the First Ward for the month of
June 1924, was read, and.Prebident Weeks referred the said report to the City
Attorney.
The reportfof the Building and Electrical Tnspector�for the month of July,
19249 showing building inspection fees collected, in the amoiant (if $65-00 and
electrical inspection fees collected in the amount of $22.25, was read, and Presi-
dent Weeks referred the said report to the Finance Committeee
The report of the Milk Inspector for the week ending August 2nd, 1924, was

received. The lowest bid was seven -hundred and thirty-four f$734;00) mv.e

in accordance with specifications furnished by the City Electric Departmente

The recommendation of the Lighting Committe# that a street
light be installed at the Intersection of Ninth Street Southwest and Eighth
Avenue Southwest,, was read, and motion by Newhouse second by Cook carried
that the same be accepted and placed on file and that the City Cler'-1-be

to notify the Public Utility Boar to ma3ke installation accord-

we have viewed the condition of the vault in the basement of the City Hall which is
at present being used by the City Clerk for the storage of theiCity records and
find that it is damp with consequent mold and decay of the records stored therep
that there is no substantial floor in it, that there is not proper ventilation for
it, that there is no lighting facilities for it, that it is too small to warrant
the repair of the p-rlese-nt shelves end the placing of additional shelves such as is
needed and that it is in a very unhandy location;
So therefore, we re�commend that the City Engineer be instructed to secure
the necessary labor and materials and construct a new vault, of as near fire proof
construction as possibles between the first and second East and West walls North of
the South wall of the City Hall basement by using them as the North an . d South walls
of the said vaults building a North and South wall of reinforced concrete across the
East end, and closing the present opening in the North7,-est corner formed by the said
second wall and the present North and South wall; making a reinforced concrete
arch roof and either a six inch concrete floor or a substantial wood floor on
stringers of the proper sizes thus making a vaultl,..with a standard vault door, of
approximately ei,-�ht feet by eighteen feets

fact that they cannot qualify under the clesignation of them as a City Depository in

the resolution passed and adopted July 7th, 19249 and requesting the repeal of the
said resolution with the understanding that upon re -advertisement for bids they will
pay one (1) per cent per annum on deposits and four (4) per cent -ner -annum on savings
account provided that they be allowed to furhtsh a good and acceptable personal bond
for double,the amount of the deposit which said deposit. shall be not to exceed

Alderman Lemmon introduced a resolution repealing the said resolution of
July 7th,, 19249 which designated the Rochester Loan and Trust Company as a depository
-for City money and ordering the City Clerk to advertise for bids for City Depositories
in addition to those which have been designated but not yet fully qualified, which
said bids are to be opened on August 20th. 1924, at 8 o'clock P.M., which was read.
Upon motion by Newhouse second by Cook that the said resolution be adopted
as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Weeks declared the said resolu-
tion duly passed and. adoptede
A communication from the 11irst State Bank mid Trust Company advising of
the fact that they cannot qualify under the destr.giation of them as a City Depository
in the resolution passed and adopted July 7th, 1924, �.ind requesting, the repeal of
the said resolution with the understanding that upon re- advert i sement for bids they

except that in case the streeL is paved with concrete then shall an integral
curb be constructed along each side of the street or avenue so paved, which

SO VIEREFORE9, Be it resolved by the said Common Council:
