Chambers, in the City Hall, in said City, on October. 13th, 1924, at 8 o'clock P.1f. Meeting called to order. by President .r?eeks. Roll Call: Present: Vleeks, Cook, Kitzmin, Lemmon, Newhouse, , Roeder, Wright, Absent: None. Motion by Roeder second by Newhouse carried that the minutes of the ?neet-i_nr--s held on September 15th, 1924, September 25th, 1924, and September 29th, 1924, be each approved. President'meeks announced that this was the time and place fixed for a hearing on the levying of special assessments for the cost and expense of the constructionof con.efete curb and gutter. on Eighth Avenue Southeast between. Center Street East and Fourth Street Southeast, - and asked if there was any person present who wished .to be heard in any matter con- cerning the slid concrete curb and. gutter.. There was no person present who wished to be heard. 4• I t President ??eeks announced that this was the time and place fixed for a hearing on the levying: of special assessments for the construc- tion of concrete curb and gutter on Ninth Avenue Northwest between the North line of Uenter Street hest and the South line of Fourth Street Northwest,• and asked if there was any person present who wished to be heard relative to the said curb and .mutter. There was no. person present who wished to be heard.. President Meeks announced that this was the,time and place fixed for a hearing on the proposed grading of Eighth Avenue Northwest from the North line of Second Street Northwest to. the Bridge across Cascade Cr. eek, and. asked if there was any person present who wished to be heard in any matter edneerning the said proposed grading. There was no person present who wished to be heard. President Meeks announced that this was the time and place fixed for a hearing on the levying of special assessments for the paving and curbing of Fourteenth Avenue Southwest from the North line of. Sixth Street Southwest to the center line of Seventh Street Southwest, and asked if there was any person present who wished to be heard relative to the said p av:i.nt; and curbing. There was no person present who wished to be heard. President Meeks announced that this was the time and dace fixed for a heading on the petition for the vacation of a part of the alley running; North and South across block 139 in Head and '� eVahon's Addition, described: Commencing at the Southwest corner of Loti.10 in said block and 707 l' running thence North along the West line of Lour 10, 9',and 8, 156.36 ft. running � thence West 18 ft. to the.Northeast corner of Lot 11 therein, running thence South !to the Southeast scorner of said Lot' il- and running thence East 18 ft. to the place of beginning, and asked if there was any person present who wished to be heard in anyl . matter -relative to the vacation of the said part of the said alley. 1 George W. Granger representing the petitioners, solicited the vacation andl distontinuanee of tithe said part of the said alley. Motion by Lemmon' second by Wright carried that the sum of $$27.68 be appro- priated from the General. Fund' and paid to I.I.I. 'Gregg., as refundment of the 1923 I sprinkling tax and Penalty, made against Block 299 in .Northern Addition; "'25.16 thereof being sprinkling assessment and $$2.52 thereof being; penalty on account of .nonpayment.
