?!Minutes of an adjourned regular meeting of the Common Council of the City
of Pochester, !"innesota, .held in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, in said City,
on October 24th, 1924, at 8 o'clock P.M.
Meeting called to order by President Meeks.
Roll Call: Present: Weeks, Cook, Kitz-ian, Lemmon, Newhouse, Roeder. Absent:

Motion by Lemmon second by Yewhouse carried that the minutes of the meeting*

i President Weeks announced that this was the time and place fixed for a hear -
it iiig on the levying; of special assessments for the cost and expense of repairin,r, side -

There was no person present , who wished to be heard and the City Clerk re-
ported that, there had been no written objection filed .against the levirinn of special
�I assessments for any of the repairs which had been made.

President Weeks announced that this was'the..time and n1ace fixed fora con -
tinned hearing;. and adjourned action on the proposed 'sanitary seder in Third Avenue

Southwest eommeheing at the manhole on the South side of the ;"ewa?e Lift Station, and
runnin? to a point 93 feet South of the. South line of Sixth Street Southwest, and
asked if there was any person present gTho wished to be heard.
} There w^s no person present who wished to be heard relative to the said
i� prc-,nosed sanitary sewer.'
Motion by Roeder second by Newhouse carried that further hearing and action.
on the said proposed sanitary sewer be adjourned and .continued to 71ovember 3rd, 11)24,

-be authorized to sign permits to connect with sewers and drains durinn the absence
of' the City Engineer.
The report of -the 'Clerk of 'Muir-ieipal Court for the week ending October 13th,
1924, -showing fines collected in the amount of �'�146.20, and uiviil fees collected in
the amount of 07.30, .and'the report of the Clerk of '.unieipal Court for the reek
endin z October 20th, 1924, showing fines collected in the amount of '"32.00 and civil
fees collected in the amount of .'�`,4.85, were each separately .read, and President 'Meeks
re -'erred the sane to the `City Attorney.
The appointments' by the Acting Mayor of Juli-us ',!nndrt as a especial Patrolman
in the Police Department for the, period October 16th,' to October 22nd, 1924,
inclusive, and O,etober 21%rd, to October. 29th, 1(:a24, inclusive,, and of E. G. Larson
as a Special Patrolman 'for the periods October 16,th,; 19?4,, to, October 22nd, 1.924,
inclusive, and October 2 rd., 1924,' to October 29th, 1924, inclusive, were each
separately' .read, and motion by Newhouse second by Cook carried that the said a000int-
meats be each placed on file.

Alderman Kitzman introduced a resolution granting permit to
Co. G. 205th Tnfantry, Minnesota National Guard to hold., rive and. conduct
- a public dance in the National. Guard Armory, on November lst, 1924, and
November_ 8th, 1924, and fixing; the fee at the total sr!m of .2.000' which s^as
read..
Upon motion by Lemmon second by'Robdet+ that the said resolution
be ^clouted as read, and a_ll voting in favor thereof, President 7,ec'cs declar-
ied the said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Roeder introduead the following resolution ithich !vas

described, on account of the sidewalks repaired opposite thereto by the
