Minutes of a Special Meeting of the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota, held in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, in said City, on December
5th, 1924, at 1 o'clock P.M.
President Weeks being absent on account of the illness of himself, motion
by Lemmon second by Newhouse carried that, Alderman Cook act as President Pro Tem
and Alderman Cook accordingly took the Chair as such,
President Pro Tem Cook. called the meeting to order.
Roll Call: Present: Cook, Kitzman, Lemmon, Newhouse, Wright, Absent:
Wee'l's, Rodder.
The call for the Special Meeting was read; said meeting being called for
the purpose of considering the application of Harold Cooke, for permit to hold, give
and conduct public dances during the month of December 19249 and any other business
that the said Common Coi.incil might deem proper.
The application of Harold Cooke for permit to hold-, give and conduct public
dances in the Woodman Hall on. December 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, 1924, was read.
Alderman Newhouse introduced a resolution granting permit to Harold R.
Cooke to hold, give and donduct public dances in the Woodman Hall, on December 6th,
13th, 20th, and 27th, 192/, and fixin "r, the fee at the total sum of 4120,00, which was
read.
Upon motion by I,emmon second by K_itzman that the said resolution be adopted.
as rear-, and all voting in favor thereof, President Pro Tem Cook declared the said
resolution duly passed and adopted.
on motion by Lemmon second by Wright Council adjourned.
