Minutes 'ofa Special Meeting. of the Common Council of "the City of Rochester,
Ainnesota, held in the Council Chainbers, in the City Hall,, in said City,' on. August
13th, 19259 at 8 o' ci.ock. P-.M.
President Weeks beitig absent, motion by Adler second. tip Postier carried
that Alderman Kitzman._act as President Pro Tem', and he took _the - Chair accordingly,
and called the meeting to order.
Roll Call: Present: Adler, Bach, Kitzman', Postier, Wrtght. Absent: reeks,

The call `for the .Special 14e.eting was read,, the said meeting being called
for the purpose of consideration .of .accounts which the City of Rochester and the
Public Utility Departnent of said City, have against the Olmsted County Fair Associ-
ation, and any other bus Aess 'which the .sAid. Common- Council, might. 'deem proper.

ed. the publicity given to -the .delinquent accounts against the Olmsted. County Fair.
Association,. and motion by Postier second by Adler darried that. the Fair Association
be. granted thceatension of time on -their .delinquent account which the City of Rbeliester
has against them, that they:be given free use of a sprinkling 9,�agon for four days,
August 18th, to 21st, .1925, inclusive, and that the said Association shall pay for
the electricity 'arid ,water used.
Motion by .Bach. second by -,.Adler. oarried that the City Clerk be instructed
to recommend to the Publi.e- Utility Board that the skid Board grant an .extension of
time on the delinquent account which the .said' bepartment has against the Olmsted
.County Fair' Association.
The applications of .Wm. E. Fenske,. Otto J. Riess, Lester. F. Chapman, Ercel
For.tney, Paul Coulson, Lester F..Kiefer and Herbert R..AgcIntire, for drivers' license ,
were each separately read, and motion by Postier second by Wright carried that. the
licenses be. granted.
Summons and complaint of F. F. Halloway, plaintiff, vse the city of
Rochester, Vinnesbta, defend)int, • was read, and on motion by Adler second by Bach the .
same. ¢,Tas referred -to the City Attorney. ' .
A communication -from the. Minnesota Railroad & Warehouse Commis.sion, asking
for co-operation in the en,forbement of Chapter 336 of the Session Laws of -1925, known
as the Grade Crossing .Law, 'was read, and on motion .by Adler -second 'by Wright- the same
was referred to the Street and Alley Committee and 'the City Engineer.
Notice of ceiieellation, effective August- llth, ; 1925, of the )Public 111fabili .s
and property damage policy, heretofore issued to Richard Holland by the Columbia
Casualty Company, covering,his automobile while being operated for hire,` was read,"
and motion by Postier second by Wright carried that' the City Clerk be instructed to
return the said policy to Air. Holl and,
The claim of Warner P. Dickman in the amount of 75 cents for cutting weeds
on the property of W. F. Bries, was read, and motion by Wright second by Adler carri

that the said sum be appropriated from the General Fund and paid to "'ar..ner D.
