Ifeetinn called to order by President Weeks. .Ro,.l Call: Present:, Weeks, Adler, Bach, Cook, Kitzma,n, Postier, !ilright. Absent: None. Motion by Kitzman second by Postier carried that the mimztes of the meetings held on October 12th, 19259 and October 19th, 1.9'-_'_5, be each. approved. President Weeks announced a: public hearing on a petition foie the vacation of Fourth Place Southwest from the South Line of First Street Southwest to the Nprth line of Second Street Southwest, and as'ced if there was any person present %oho veislled to be heard in the matter. There was no person. prvesent who wished to be heard but a communication from d:ranger & Cle7!rens, Attorneys .for the _petitioner's, asking that the hearing on this matter be adjourned and continued to' the meeting of this Common Council which i_s' to be held on December 7th, 1.925, at 2 'o'clock P.M., 'was .read. On motion by Postier second by Cook the hearing and action on the above mentioned petition was adjourned and continued to Dec. 7th, 1925, at 2 o'clock P.M. President (leeks announced a public hearing on the construction of a sanitary sewer in part of Sixth Street Northwest and asked if there v:as any person present who wished to be heard relative to the said sanitary sewer& There was no person present c-1ho wished to be heard,. President Meeks announced a:lpublic hearing on the prot0osed grading. of rD Second Street Northeast to an established grade .line and to a width of seventy-five feet, between the Last line of Second Avenue Northeast and the Zumbro River, and asked if there was any person present who wished to be heard relative to the said gr ad ing. The local. manager of the Tnterstate Power Company opposed the grading of the said part of Second Street Northeast by special assessments. On motion by Postier second. by Wright further proceedings relative to the grading of the said part of .Second Street Northeast to an established grade and to a width of seventy-five feet be abandoned and new proceedings ordered prepared provid. ;Cr.g for the grading of the said part of Second Street Northeast to the width of thirty feet. G'. P. Gentling, as Commander of the Wm. T. IfcCoy Post of the inerican Legion, asked for permission_ to erect an electrically- illuminated sign 24 feet by 16 feet on the West side of the City Hall property between the Public Comfort, Station and the City I1a_ll, and on motion. by Bach second by Adler permission was gr.4nted, con- ditioned. that the installation and construction of the saiC *,n be under the super- �� vision and approval of the City Engineer, with the said sign to remain on the said f� )08 property at the pleasure of the Common Council. of said City. The members of the To?.m Board of Oronoco Township,being F�c:d Rucker, Andrew Bake^ and John Rosebloom, were before the Common Council and took part in the 6iscussion relative to the Kurth road. Tn. the d.iscussionpA. FT. Clemens as Attorney for Cha:. Bell,offered to deed lands for a cartmay over the hill on Bell's .land to mai;e an outlet for. T:fr. Kurth if the City vrould turn back to Bell the lands along the lake shore which were previously deeded by him to the City of Rochester, Tfi.nnesota, but Irving Eckholdt as Atto„ney for. Mr. Kurth would. only say that such ran arrang^- I l mn.t ¢could be taken under consideration. N. A. and John RosebAoom offered the aloll acres of land necessary to carry the Kurth road across their property to'gether with a, cattle pass, fsncin,7 of both sides of t'he road, the necessary gates, and the construction of such culverts as they may deem' necessary , all for the sum of 1800,00, i. g. Clemens speaking for Chas. Plan, profile, specification and estimate of cost for a Police and liire Alarm Telegraph System, prepared by r41- r. E. J.
