President Weeks being absent, on motion by Kitzman second by Bach, Ald man Cook was appointed President Pro Temp and took the Chair as such. President Pro Tam Cook called the meeting tq order. Roll Call: Present: Adler, Bach, Cook, Kitzman, Wright. Absent: Weeks, PoStier. _ • r r j The call for the Special ?fldeting was read, the said meeting; being called for the purpose of acting upon the application of the Queen City Club for public `any dance permit, and/other business that the Common Council might deem propers The application of the Queen City Club for permit to hold, give and con- duct a public dance in the A. 0. U. W. Hall, on November nth, and the 21st, 1925, "nd the application. of Taylor Cutshall for permit to hold, give and conduct a public Oance in the Woodman Hall on November 10th, 1925, were each separately read. The claim of St. Mary's Hospital in the amount of $20.00 for Tsolation I Tospital services in the establishing, maintaining and releasing of quarantine in the c,tise of Robert Oviatt, as a Poliomyelitis patient, B days at 02.50 per clay, was . read, and on motion by Bach second by Wright the sum of $20.00 was approprirt-Led from the General Fund and ordered paid for the purpose stated, and that the City Clerk be instructed to bill the County of Olmsted for one-half of the said charges. Alderman Bach introduced a resolution granting permit to the Queen City Club to hold, give and conduct public dances in the A.O.U.W.Fall, on November 7th and. ` 1 t, 1!)25, and fixing the fee at the total sum of $2.00, which was read. i Upon motion by Bach second by Wright that the said .resolution be adopted as r.ead,.and all voting in favor thereof, President Weeks declared the said resolu- i Lion duly passed and adopted. Alderman Wright introduced a resolution granting permit to Tavlor.Cutshall to h;jld, give and conduct a public dance in the Woodman Hall, on November loth, 19225, Y end fixing the fee at the sum of 'Z.00, which was read. Upon motion. by Wright second by Bach that the said resolution be adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Weeks declared the said resolu- tion duly passed and adopted. President Weeks .came in at this time and took his Chair. T. F. Kennedy- quoted rates for compensation insurance covering all. appoi ive officials and employees of the City of Rochester, Yi_nnesota, with the exception i of the Public Utility Department, which were discussed by the Common Council, and on motion by Cook second by Adler, President Weeks was requested to appoint a Committee of three for investigation and recommendations in the matter of compensation insur- ance, with instructions that the said Committee make report as Goon as possible, �16 IV at which President Weeks appointed the Chairman of the Street and Alley Com- mittee, Alderman Bach, and Alderman Wright., as members of the said Come- -ttee. The following claims were read., and on motion .by Kitzman .second by Wright the same were allowed and the Mayor and.
