Afeeting called to order by President Weeks. Absent: None. Roll Call: Present: Weeks, Adler, Bach, flicks, Kitzman, Postier, Wright. On motion by Bach second by Kitzman the Minutes of the meetings held on November 2nd, 1925, November 7th, 1925, November 9th, 194, and November 17th, 1925, ;were each approved. President Weeks announced that this was the time and place fixed for a hearing on the proposed grading to an established r rade .line and to a width of thirty* (-�0) feet of Second Street Northeast between the Last line of Second Avenue !Northeast and the Zumbro River, and asked if' there v,,!as any person present who wished to be heard relative to the said proposed improvement. p There was no person present who wished to be heard in .regard to the I said trading. My dear Sir: The resolution of November tenth as adopted by the Common Council of the City of Rochester seems to be a reiteration of how the health office has functioned in the past, with the exception of a proposal that the Health Officers and employees be placed on the City payroll and disbursement made by the City from the tax levy of $7750. Alderman Bach introduced an ordinance to amend an ordinance entitled, An Ordinance authorizing the Rochester Gas Company and its assigns, to acquire and construct and maintain and operate gas works in the City of Rochester, Olmsted County, hfinnesota, " which was given its first reading. The matter of doing the sprinkling of streets and avenues by general taxa- tion instead of by special assessments, was discussed by the Common Council, and motion byi Postier seeon(l by UTright carried that this Common Council ;,%_-, ,favorable to the doing of the sprinkling and flushing of streets and avenues from general taxa- Lion instead of by special assessments, and that the City Clerk be instructed to re -quest of the Charter Commission that they propose Charter Amendments accordingly at the next Charter Election, which is to be held on the second Tuesday in March, 1(926. " Alderman Postier introduced a resolution ordering fans, -!profiles, speci- fications and estimate of cost for the grading to an established grade Line and to a aridth of thirty (70) feet of Second Street Northeast, between the East line of Second Avenue Northeast and the Zumbro River., which was read. Upun motion by Postier second by Wright that the said resolution be adopt ed as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Weeks declared the said resolu tion duly passed and adopted. The local manager of the Tnterstate Power Company asked for permission to construct a fence along the West side of the property owned by his Company being Blo 77 in Original Plat, and on motion by Bach second by Adler, his request was referred to th6 Street and Alley Committee, and the City Engineer. Alderman Kitzman introduced a .resolution appropriating rp2000,OO from the Street and Alley Fund for use of the Street and Alley Committee, which was read. Upon motion by Bach second by Wright that the said resolution be adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Weeks declared the said resolu- Lion.duly passed and adopted. Alderman Wright introduced a, resolution granting permit to the Sunshine Club to hold, give and conduct public dances in the 1�i.O.U.W.
