Balance Sheet, Income Statements, etc., of the Public Utility Depart- :Hunt of the City of Rochester, Mlinnesota, as at October 31st, 1920, prepared by the; :Secretary of the Public Utility Beard, were laid before the Common Council, and R President Weeks ordered that the same be p;aced on file; the said Income Statements showing a profit in the Light Department for the month of October, 1926, of .1 ,469,62, and a, net profit in .the Light Department for the seven months of this fiscal year of $75,049.44, and a net loss in the Water Department for the month of October, 1926, of 11214096, and a net profit in the Water Department for the seven months of this fiscal year of $19,027s34,, The following applications for permits to hold, give and conduct public dances were each separately read: r Izaak Walton Leargue, for Armory, November 1926, 1926; y Zumbro Chapter, Order of DeMOlay, for Masonic Temple, November 26th, 1926; 6i Ma I Moose Lodge, for Workmen Hall, December 2nd, 1926; Modern Woodmen of America, for Woodmen Hall, December 4th, llth, 18th, and 25th, 1926,; , Rainbow Club for Woodmen Hall, December 7th and 21st, 1926. Clemens for Dr Chas T Gran er owner offered the property • , • . g � , P P Y known as "Fair Oaks" to the City of Rochester; for $38000.00, and in his talk for the •promotion of the sale, said that Dr. Granger has 865000;00 invested in this property and has been holding it at $45000.00. Mr. Clemens I ictured this property as an ideal location. (for a muni- cipal gulf course, athl6tiO::field, etet, and was supported by Ben Gerry, Ralph Lawler, Arthur.Rieter and Newton Holland. Kiester, his wife, for expenses incurred in connection with their appeal in the condemnation of their residence property. Alderman 'itzman introduced the followinn resolution, which was read: "WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Rochester, at a meeting thereof on the 14th day of June 1926, passed a resolution condemning the property of Henry W, T'iu&ter and r,Maryt F. Kiester, his wife, which said property is described as follows: Lots 5 and 6 in Block 50 of the Original Plat of the Town, -now City, of Rochester, County of Olmsted and State of -Minnesota., and; �JI-�R�AS, in skid resolution the sum of $6500,00 was :appropriated from the General Fund and ordered paid to the owners of the said property, and; WHEREAS., Henry W. Kiester and Mary F.
